THIS MORNING’S WALK

That rasty woodpecker was hard at work

drilling someone’s siding,

while rabbits darted ‘cross the yards

back to where they’d been hiding.

Chickadees see-sawed hello

blue-jays screeched and hollered.

The trail was real…
